On March 24, WNC Workers’ Center participated in Grace Covenant Presbyterian of Asheville’s SERVE Fair. The fair was an opportunity for the 41 collaborative organizations of Grace Covenant to display information about their respective organizations to the broader Grace Covenant congregation after the Sunday service. WNC Workers’ Center is a receipt of Grace Covenant Presbyterian’s SERVE grant which “provides grants to nonprofit organizations/community programs, with the intent to provide financial support to follow where our congregation is investing its time and community involvement.” In regards to the SERVE grants, Grace Covenant believes that, “as a faith community, we strive to follow Jesus’ example of radical love and hospitality. We are grateful to share resources and build relationship with partners who live into these teachings in our community and world.” WNC Workers’ Center values the partnership with Grace Covenant in an effort to build on the individual and collective capacity for marginalized immigrant women workers in Asheville and across the WNC region through WNC Workers’ Center Mujeres Luchadores Program.
